City, county, state and federal offices you may need to contact when starting a new business and where to find them.

City Offices
If you plan to do business in an incorporated city of Ventura County or Los Angeles County you will need to contact the appropriate city office for information on business licenses, permits, and/or zoning regulations.

Ventura County and Los Angeles County Offices
This is a list of the various offices you may have to contact in order to do business in Ventura County or Los Angeles County.  In particular, if you are conducting your business in an unincorporated area, you must contact the county government to obtain a business tax certificate.
