Even if you are already in business, attending this valuable workshop is a must. This comprehensive and easy to understand overview will provide you with the basic steps you need to take; how to research your idea, protect your intellectual property, get the necessary permits, find funding, decide on an organizational structure, and the basics of marketing, financial and business planning. #2 & #3 Feb 5 and 12     8:30am - 3:00pm   [$55**]    MARKETING PLAN AND SALES STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT

Part One (Feb 5): Learn the marketing process, no matter what business you are in: how to build an effective Marketing Plan ; What goes into a successful plan; Research techniques; Identifying the right customer; and more. Part Two (Feb 12): Identify and define your market, customer pain points and motivation; pricing; sales forecasting and how to promote and advertise yourbusiness. Our workbook session will help you actually create your own marketing and sales plan in this session.

#4 Feb 26     8:30am - 3:00pm   [$55**]    FINANCIAL STATEMENTS AND CASH MANAGEMENT UNDERSTANDING
Financial Statements are the “report card” for your business. You will learn what they mean and how to use them. The ability to interpret the data and understand their meaning is imperative to making your endeavor a success. This workshop will help you classify and analyze your data correctly manage cash flow, and then how to use financial information to understand, maintain and grow your business. Workbook provided.

#5   Mar 5     8:30am - 3:00pm   [$55**]    BUILD A BETTER BUSINESS PLAN – A HOW-TO APPROACH
A business plan forces you to think out all the facets of your business. It gives you the tools to evaluate how you are doing and is a must to acquire financing. Learn how to set up your business goals, analyze your market, and forecast your earnings. During this session you will actually start or update your existing business plan. Workbook provided.

#6   Mar 12     8:30am - 3:00pm   [$55**]    KEYS TO SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT AND GROWTH
The techniques and skills learned in this class can take your business to a new level. Learn how to monitor and control your operation and grow and expand your business. We will cover building your team, how to expand your customer base, working with suppliers, negotiating better terms; contingency planning, basic insurance coverage and more. Lots of class interaction.

#7 & #8 Mar 19 and 26     8:30am - 3:00pm   [$55**]    WEBSITE MARKETING, STRATEGY, SOCIAL NETWORKING

Part One (Mar 19): Learn the primary elements of Internet marketing; What makes a good website better; Establishing website objectives and how to achieve them; The importance of keywords and how to come up with them; Research techniques and the use of Adwords, pay per click, etc – the pros and cons; Usability; Content management; The free tools out there; What Google and other search engines are looking for; and more.; Plenty of class interaction. Part Two (Mar 26): How to use website marketing to increase sales; How to effectively drive traffic to your website and convert that traffic to a sale – what works, what doesn't; Social networking that works (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn); Using Email marketing to reach more customers, generate sales and build effective ongoing relationships; Effective SEO techniques will be explained and explored. These are great classes for both startup and existing businesses.
